EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants Grows Law Firm Group with Two Executive Hires

Dan Knise and Eileen Garczynski, Esq. add decades of specialized experience in the legal risk sector to EPIC’s specialty practice

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants (“EPIC”) continues its Law Firm Group expansion with the addition of Dan Knise and Eileen Garczynski, Esq. to the firm. Based in Washington D.C., Dan and Eileen will work with EPIC’s law firm clients to both assess and address their risk management and insurance needs.

Dan joins EPIC as Principal following a 20-year term at Ames & Gough where he served in leadership roles including Executive Chair, Chief Executive Officer and President. Throughout his career, he led region-wide efforts to win the right to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland, and has held various senior management positions at Marsh & McLennan and its predecessor firm Johnson & Higgins.

Eileen has over 35 years of experience in the insurance and legal sector. She joins EPIC as Principal from Ames & Gough. Her deep industry experience includes positions on the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Standing Committee on Lawyers’ Professional Liability and the Insurance & Risk Management Committee for the Intellectual Property Law section of the ABA.

Both new roles will report to Rob Herchert, Managing Principal of the EPIC’s growing Law Firm Group. These new additions follow the recent addition of Melissa Demmon, Esq., as Director, Risk Management of the Law Firm Group last quarter.
