CSC Reinforces Commitment to Global Compliance and Risk Management with Two Leadership Appointments

WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CSC, the world’s leading provider of global business administration and compliance solutions, is pleased to announce the enhancement of its capabilities through the strategic appointments of Mark Calandra to lead its Corporate and Legal Solutions (CLS) division, and Ian McConnel to head its Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Mark Calandra is assuming presidency of CLS, CSC’s largest revenue-generating business, with an experienced team of 4,000 employees who are specialists in global compliance, logistics, and regulatory knowledge. He will drive the division’s strategy, execution, and growth, harnessing market-leading technology solutions to deliver best-in-class services in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. Calandra has a CSC career spanning 20 years, most recently serving as the president of CSC’s Digital Brand Services division. In this role, he built and led the global operation, overseeing its growth into the leading domain security provider while consistently achieving year-over-year double-digit revenue growth, improving profit margins, and launching value-add services.

Ian McConnel has been appointed chief legal officer, overseeing CSC’s Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams and providing strategic legal counsel. With a decade of leadership roles at CSC and a career spanning private practice, public service, and corporate leadership, McConnel brings a wealth of experience in governance and compliance to this role. His appointment will advance CSC’s growth objectives and reinforce CSC’s culture of service and reputation as a solutions-based service provider.

“We’re dedicated to helping clients navigate an ever more challenging regulatory landscape,” says Rod Ward, president and CEO of CSC. “These two leaders will be instrumental in that effort. Both appointments reflect our commitment to delivering exceptional value and creative, pragmatic answers to our clients’ biggest business challenges. Mark and Ian will call upon their successful track records and deep industry expertise to drive further innovation and expand our capabilities. We’ll do even more, even better, for the companies we serve.”

These moves follow the appointments of John Hebert and Venkat Srinivasan in CSC’s newly combined Funds and Capital Markets division, further underscoring CSC’s commitment to delivering best-in-class services.

CSC supports clients and their advisors through the work of more than 8,000 employees operating in more than 140 jurisdictions on five continents.
