Trellix Promotes Gareth Maclachlan to Chief Product Officer

Trellix aligns product development and platform strategy under Maclachlan’s leadership to accelerate business growth

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Trellix, the company delivering cybersecurity’s broadest AI-powered platform, today announced the promotion of Gareth Maclachlan to Chief Product Officer (CPO). With Maclachlan’s leadership, Trellix will accelerate product engineering and development for the Trellix Security Platform while further operationalizing industry-leading threat intelligence produced by the Trellix Advanced Research Center.

As CPO, Maclachlan leads Trellix’s product development, detection engineering, and threat intelligence teams, delivering responsibly architected security designed to build resilience, simplify security operations, and protect data for customers. He brings over 20 years of experience to this role and most recently led the award-winning network, sandbox, and email security product lines at Trellix, as well as the divestiture and integration of both McAfee and FireEye. Before Trellix, he was responsible for Product Management and Go-to-Market for Mandiant Managed Defense, Consulting, and Threat Intelligence, as well as FireEye cloud security products.
