Achievers Launches Next Generation of Achievers App for Microsoft Teams

Built in collaboration with Microsoft engineers, Achievers debuts a new Achievers app for Microsoft Teams that empowers customers with custom branding and impactful real-time recognition capabilities

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Achievers, one of the leading recognition and reward platforms for employee experience, today announced the launch of the latest Achievers app for Microsoft Teams. The Achievers app for Teams now allows recognitions to be sent during Teams meetings and introduces the ability to customize organizational branding to match customer or program names – two features highly anticipated and requested by customers.

“Through our collaboration, Microsoft and Achievers worked diligently to deliver sophisticated tech that bolsters engagement and redefines the employee experience; this new app marks an exciting extension to this long-standing relationship,” said Michael Cohen, chief product officer at Achievers. “The Achievers app for Teams further empowers workers to recognize meaningful moments in real time and share praise within their flow of work, a science-backed factor for effective recognition programs. Equipped with custom branding, Achievers app for Teams now ensures that Achievers’ customers power consistent recognition experiences across devices, signifying recognition’s alignment with company values and importance organization-wide.”

“Companies like Achievers add value by innovating the way employers reward and recognize their employees,” said Pete Daderko, senior director of Microsoft Teams Marketing at Microsoft. “We are pleased to see the new Achievers app and its deep integration with Teams, ensuring that recognizing work is a seamless and fulfilling experience for all. Additionally, we look forward to the upcoming integration with Microsoft 365 Copilot, which will further enhance the user experience.”

Additional features released in this update that help drive a seamless user experience include:

  • New welcome message: Built using an Adaptive Card in Teams, the new welcome message educates users about the app’s various features to enhance discoverability.
  • New home tab sign-in experience: Updated to provide enhancements for users after they sign in; improvements include deep-linking the user back to Teams once sign-in is created and improved responsiveness across various devices.
  • Improvements to newsfeed: Increase newsfeed traffic with optimized screen use and updated naming that aligns with the Achievers platform experience.
  • Just-in-time installation: Streamline the process of adding the Achievers app to any 1:1 Chat, Channel, or Group Chat, making it immediately available to all participants.

Since 2023, the Achievers app for Teams has increased its monthly active usage by over 100,000 users. Achievers continues to invest in the Microsoft platform, including the development of a Microsoft 365 Copilot agent, which is slated for release in early 2025.
