eClinicalWorks Champions Fairfax Medical Facilities to Win ‘Health Center Quality Leader - Gold’ Badge By HRSA

eClinicalWorks assists the health center with UDS+ submissions by identifying the gaps in reporting and setting up structured data mapping to streamline workflows

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--eClinicalWorks®, the largest ambulatory cloud EHR, today announced that Oklahoma-based Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Fairfax Medical Facilities, was recognized by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for its 2023 Uniform Data System (UDS) submissions. Fairfax Medical Facilities received the ‘Health Center Quality Leader - Gold’ badge, a distinction awarded to only 10% of community health centers. It was the only health center in Oklahoma to receive this honor. The eClinicalWorks Healthcare Business Intelligence (HBI) team collaborated closely with the health center on structured data mapping and establishing workflows to ensure patient compliance.

“We greatly appreciate eClinicalWorks for helping us streamline our UDS reporting process,” said Karen McConnell, CEO of Fairfax Medical Facilities. “We’re delighted to receive the recognition; our 2023 UDS+ submission was a huge success, I believe, due to the training and support from the eClinicalWorks HBI team. It helps our clinical staff better analyze, track, and report on quality care metrics, which helps us to identify compliance issues and improve patient outcomes. Last year, we served over 5,500 unique patients and recorded approximately 25,500 billable visits. Through working with eClinicalWorks, we’ve been able to support our clinical staff by reducing clicks and identifying key indicators on the reports faster.”

Fairfax Medical Facilities is a community health center that offers primary care, OBGYN, dental care, and behavioral health services. Since 2010, the health center has been utilizing eClinicalWorks. It contacted the eClinicalWorks HBI team in 2023 for assistance with UDS reporting and documenting patients' compliance. The HBI team quickly identified the gaps in care and addressed workflow issues. For example, the eClinicalWorks team helped them run reports to look at patients who weren’t compliant, supported the team follow-up with the given patient, conducted screenings, called them, documented the screening and more.

“eClinicalWorks is committed to assisting community health centers like Fairfax Medical Facilities to collect and report clinical data so it can focus on delivering quality care,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “Health Centers are an integral part of our health care system, and eClinicalWorks offers a unified solution for their unique needs to bridge the gaps in care including medical, dental, behavioral health, OBGYN, and vision.”

eClinicalWorks is a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)–an approved EHR vendor for UDS+ submissions that is actively working with FQHCs nationwide, like Fairfax Medical Facilities, to complete submissions. UDS+ helps community health centers better track, analyze, and report quality care metrics, which helps improve practice efficiency and aid in data-driven decisions.
