Eco-Energy Expands TERC Program With Launch of TERC-Biodiesel and TERC-Renewable Diesel

FRANKLIN, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eco-Energy, a leading player in the low-carbon solutions sector, announced the expansion of its Transport Emission Reduction Certificate (TERC) program with the launch of TERC-Biodiesel and TERC-Renewable Diesel. These new TERC certificates are a revolutionary voluntary carbon program designed to address heavy-duty diesel trucking emissions, offering a new avenue for companies to mitigate their carbon footprint.

“TERC began as an innovative solution but continues to evolve as we introduce TERC-Biodiesel and TERC-Renewable Diesel to the market,” said Brian Simpson, Chief Marketing Officer at Eco-Energy. “This new option was a response to our buyer’s need for targeted carbon reduction strategies focused on on-road trucking in addition to TERC’s ethanol solution.”

The TERC-Biodiesel and TERC-Renewable Diesel certificates are designed to meet the growing demand for actionable, verified solutions in sustainable transportation. By choosing TERCs, companies with large Scope 3 emissions can demonstrate their commitment to environmental stewardship and align with evolving regulatory expectations. All TERCs, including TERC-Biodiesel and TERC-Renewable Diesel, are housed on the Xpansiv Digital Fuels registry, ensuring transparency and traceability for every certificate.

"Clean fuels are key to the global energy transition and align with our mission to support their development through our registry infrastructure," said Henrik Hasselknippe, Chief Operating Officer, Xpansiv. "We commend Eco-Energy for its continued innovation in low-carbon fuels."

Each certificate represents a measurable reduction in emissions, verified through rigorous third-party assessments, giving businesses confidence in their impact on carbon reduction. This expansion reinforces Eco-Energy’s dedication to delivering practical tools that empower companies to achieve meaningful progress in their sustainability journeys.
