RFG Advisory Achieves Record Recruitment, Fueling 2024 Growth

RFG adds diverse cohort of Advisors collectively managing over $600M in assets

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RFG Advisory (“RFG”), an innovator in the wealth management industry committed to serving independent financial advisors and their clients, announces a new wave of advisor partnerships, celebrating a year of significant growth. Since January, RFG has added over $600 million in new assets from recently onboarded advisors, with total assets under advisement (AUA) rising from $4.5 billion to $5.7 billion.

In 2024, RFG nearly doubled its advisor growth from the previous year, adding 21 new advisors compared to 12 in 2023. These professionals bring unique perspectives to their businesses, with many citing RFG's technology support, succession planning, marketing resources and strong culture as key reasons for joining.

The tranche of advisors who joined RFG in recent months includes:

“We are thrilled to welcome these dynamic Advisors who share our passion for delivering an exceptional client experience,” said Shannon Spotswood, CEO of RFG Advisory. “Our platform empowers Advisors to grow their businesses without compromise, leveraging modern technology alongside comprehensive growth, marketing and compliance support. By removing barriers through entrepreneurial and operational guidance, we create a frictionless path for success. This year’s growth highlights the appeal of our model, and we remain focused on providing Advisors with the resources they need to impact more lives.”

A common theme among this group is their entrepreneurial ambition to run their own business with the support of a true strategic partner like RFG. Husband-and-wife team Vester and Sharon Martin left their previous firm to realize their vision of establishing a family-owned legacy business. They subsequently founded Cheaha Wealth Management, named in honor of land held by Vester’s family since the 1800s.

Yarbrough transitioned from his previous role as a W-2 advisor to establish an independent practice in Lealand Wealth Partners, gaining greater control over client experiences. MacClure left a large national broker-dealer to leverage RFG’s advanced technology and supportive compliance culture, helping him strengthen client relationships and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Tish Berbaum joined RFG to launch Blue Sands Wealth and build her own brand, drawing on RFG’s robust marketing and branding support. With a focus on ultra-high-net-worth clients and business owner succession planning, she was attracted to RFG's resources and how the StrongHer Money program leans into support for women. RFG's Advisor-first culture continues to attract entrepreneurial Advisors from diverse backgrounds and client niches, each with the common thread of a mission to serve their existing clients better and grow their enterprise value.
