Jack in the Box Leverages Local Expertise for Detroit Launch with Experienced Franchise Operators

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jack in the Box Inc. (NASDAQ: JACK), a leading publicly traded quick-service restaurant company, today announced a five-unit development agreement in the Detroit, Michigan market. This agreement expands on the brand’s previously announced plans to open five locations in West Michigan with another franchisee.

“We are delighted to welcome Maan Almansour and Andi Kareem to our growing franchise family in Michigan,” said Van Ingram, vice president franchise development. “Their passion for the restaurant industry and deep understanding of the Detroit market make them ideal partners to bring our brand to this vibrant city.”

This 5-store development agreement in Detroit, MI builds on the brand’s Michigan momentum with plans already in the works to build five locations in West Michigan over the next five years with the first one slated to open in Battle Creek. “With approximately 2,200 locations nationwide and the recent success from our new market openings in Salt Lake City and Louisville, we’ve recognized how much pent-up demand Jack in the Box has across the country,” Added Ingram. “We’re an iconic franchise brand with whitespace availability, flexible prototypes, and commitment to growing in the Midwest.”

Jack in the Box is known for its iconic menu that features customer favorites like burgers, tacos, chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, all-day breakfast, and late-night snacking options.
