Energage and Nurse.com Partner to Launch the Top Workplaces for Nursing Award

Recognizing healthcare organizations that support and empower nurses across the U.S.

EXTON, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Energage, the HR technology company that powers the Top Workplaces employer recognition program, today announced a new partnership with Nurse.com, a community where more than 3 million nurses can connect with peers, apply for jobs, and earn continuing education. Together, they will recognize healthcare organizations actively supporting sustainable environments where nurses can provide the best patient care with the inaugural Top Workplaces for Nursing award.

The new award celebrates organizations that prioritize a people-first workplace culture. Results will be based on employee feedback captured by the confidential, research-backed Energage Workplace Survey. Participating companies will be evaluated against the industry’s most robust benchmarks based on more than 18 years of culture research.

To be eligible, participating companies must employ at least 50 nurses or have a workforce in which nurses make up 35% of the staff. The nomination period is open now through mid-January 2025, with the winners announced at the end of May 2025. There is no cost to nominate an organization, participate in the program, survey employees, or win the award.

As nurses continue to play a critical role in healthcare, the need for workplaces that value and support their staff has never been more important. Cara Lunsford, RN, Vice President of Community at Nurse.com, highlighted the importance of this new initiative: “At Nurse.com, we’ve built a community where nurses can connect, grow, and feel supported at every stage of their journey. By partnering with Energage to create the Top Workplaces for Nursing award, we’re honoring organizations that see the person behind the profession and foster environments where nurses can grow personally and professionally. We’re grateful to help shine a light on those who are setting the bar for what it truly means to create safe, supportive, and sustainable workplaces within healthcare.”

Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage, emphasized how this partnership underscores the importance of a supportive culture for nursing teams. “At Energage, we believe that great workplace culture is the foundation for exceptional performance, and this partnership allows us to spotlight organizations that not only support their nursing teams but also nurture environments where they can thrive.”
