Assurant Included in Forbes’ America’s Best Employers for Veterans 2024

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), a leading global business services company that supports, protects, and connects major consumer purchases, has been included in America’s Best Employers for Veterans 2024 ranking. This prestigious award is presented in collaboration with Statista, the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on November 7, 2024, and can currently be viewed on the Forbes website.

America’s Best Employers for Veterans 2024 were identified through an independent survey, which included more than 24,000 U.S. veterans. The survey highlighted the following parameters: atmosphere and development, image, working conditions, salary and wage, workplace, diversity, and topics related to veterans.

Inclusion in this ranking shows that an organization is not only providing employment opportunities, but is a valued partner committed to the well-being and success of those who have served our country. In total, 150 companies were included in the list.

“We are honored to be recognized for our progress in fostering a sense of belonging, engagement, and empowerment for veterans at Assurant,” said Keith Demmings, president and CEO, Assurant. “Through their military service, veterans bring unique and valuable skills, experience, and perspective to our business.”

“Through our Veterans@Assurant Employee Resource Group, we are focused on attracting, retaining, and developing talented individuals who have served our country,” said Dan Barone, VP at Assurant and Executive Sponsor of Veterans@Assurant. “Through professional growth and networking opportunities, community engagement, and relevant programming, we embrace and assist veterans in their transition from public service to private enterprise.”

As part of its commemoration of Veterans Day and a partnership with Wounded Warriors Family Support, Assurant recently donated its fourth mobility-modified vehicle to U.S. Army veteran Stephanie Johnson of San Antonio, Texas. This collaboration with the WWFS Mobility is Freedom program extends Assurant’s support beyond its veteran employees to others who served.
