Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) announced today that it has won two Industry Awards from the Money Management Institute (MMI) and Barron’s. The awards include a Wealth Manager Platform of The Year Award for The Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Select UMA Platform and a Distribution Excellence award for Morgan Stanley’s Field Engagement Initiative.

The award was given for the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Select UMA Platform which is a unified managed account program designed to simplify the investment process and provide comprehensive asset management. The platform offers tailored asset allocation advice aligned with client goals and risk tolerance and aims to put the collective experience of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s clients, financial advisors, and asset managers first when constructing and maintaining suitable and customized investment portfolios.

The Distribution Excellence category honors firms that provide exemplary and innovative advisor sales support both in the field and from the home office. Morgan Stanley has received the award for its Field Engagement Initiative which is focused on dramatically improving the impact of their financial advisors’ practice by providing them with resources to ensure they could deliver the full power of the Firm to their client relationships.

The winners were selected by a specially appointed MMI Industry Awards Steering Council. The Steering Council consists of representatives from all segments of the MMI membership. After carefully reviewing the nominations submitted, the Steering Council determined a slate of finalists in each award category. The primary contacts at each of MMI’s 207 member firms were eligible to vote to determine the winners. Nominations were reviewed and evaluated to determine finalists June 2024 - July 2024. Finalists were voted on to determine a winner August 2024.
