PAC Worldwide Goes All In with 100% Recycled Content in Poly Mailer

New Polyjacket® Option Earns Global Certification

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Demand for flat poly mailers, long relied upon by couriers and e-commerce companies for their protective qualities and ease of use, is poised to grow even larger with the launch of PAC Worldwide Corporation’s latest advance: mailers made with 100% recycled content – in both 100% post-consumer resin (PCR) and certified to the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) and 100% post-industrial recycled (PIR) forms. The new Polyjacket® option makes its debut at PACK EXPO in Chicago.

The mailers are designed to support the environmental goals of sustainability-leading brands. The certification serves as an independent verification for stakeholders who may have concerns about corporate “greenwashing.”

The 100% recyclable Polyjacket features the same strength and quality properties as PAC’s standard poly mailers. Options for custom printing and a dual peel-n-seal are also available.

Fully recyclable, the new mailers are the latest innovation in PAC’s growing line of sustainable poly products. Choices range from the stock Polyjacket program with 50% recycled content, all the way to 100%. The company’s Airjacket® bubble mailer and WicketPAC® wicketed poly mailers, available with 50% recycled content, round out the list.

Recycled poly mailers complement a diverse array of PAC paper mailer products to give shippers a wider array of environmentally responsible solutions. That includes Ecojacket® Flex, the patent-pending curbside recyclable padded paper mailer that earned an “Optimally Recyclable” approval from How2Recycle, the industry group’s highest rating, and its just-released larger, single-faced gusseted counterpart, the Ecojacket® Max. The expansion is part of PAC’s broader strategy of making it easier for brands to think “outside the box” when it comes to meeting their sustainability goals.

PAC Worldwide President Thomas Parenteau said, “There is more than one way to think about – and build – a more sustainable future for our planet. These innovative products demonstrate PAC’s pledge to make all our industry-leading flexible packaging recyclable, reusable, or compostable by 2025. I’m proud to say we are well on our way.”
