The Mutual Group Appoints Shannon Woods as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TMG Insurance Services, LLC (“The Mutual Group” or the “Company”), an integrated insurance operations platform serving the mutual industry, today announced that Shannon Woods, an experienced C-suite legal and strategic executive, has joined as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Woods brings to The Mutual Group over two decades of experience with a strong track record of leading highly regulated organizations through complex compliance environments, robust growth initiatives and high-value mergers and acquisitions.

In this newly created role, Woods will lead the development and execution of the company’s overall legal and regulatory strategies, with responsibility for the legal and compliance functions. With extensive knowledge of the insurance regulatory environment and demonstrated expertise in driving operational excellence, Woods is a crucial addition to the leadership team as The Mutual Group continues to expand its suite of dedicated mutual insurance solutions.

Woods joins The Mutual Group from Mindr Co., where she led as Chief Legal and Strategy Officer. Previously, Woods was an Associate Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Hy-Vee, Inc. Before her successful in-house career, Woods was in private practice, ending her career as partner at Whitfield & Eddy. She is a distinguished alum of Buena Vista University and Drake University Law School.
