Mitsubishi Electric to Exhibit at Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2024

Technologies for satellite development, satellite data solutions, transfer vehicle and lunar landing

TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6503) announced today that it will organize an exhibit during the Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2024 (JA2024) at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition complex (Block W1-007, West Hall 1) from October 16 to 19. The company will exhibit a range of initiatives focused on contributing to creation of a safe and secure society and sustainable development through satellite development, satellite data solutions, transfer vehicle and lunar landing.

Exhibits

1) Satellite development as infrastructure, and satellite data solutions

Mitsubishi Electric will introduce satellite infrastructure that supports a safe and secure society and solutions that utilize satellite observation data to address issues in global society.

- Earth observation satellites

The Advanced Land Observing Satellite-4 “DAICHI-4” (ALOS-4), the nation’s newest geostationary meteorological satellite known as the “Himawari-10,” and the Global Observing Satellite for Greenhouse gases and Water cycle (GOSAT-GW) are being used in a multitude of applications, including disaster monitoring, weather forecasting, and climate change monitoring, with the overall objective of accurately confirming various states of the global environment.

- Satellite data solutions

Various examples will exhibit how satellite observation data is being integrated into solutions and services for disaster prevention and mitigation, infrastructure monitoring, carbon neutrality and oceanographic monitoring.
