LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Varsity Healthcare Partners (“VHP” or the “Company”), a healthcare-focused private equity investment firm, recently launched The VHP Foundation (the “Foundation”), a philanthropic vehicle funded and governed by VHP’s professionals. The Foundation’s mission is to make philanthropic grants to charitable organizations in local communities where VHP has full-time employees, as well as to organizations in other geographies whose philanthropic mission is consistent with the Foundation’s annual giving priorities.

The Foundation, which is currently funded through direct, discretionary donations contributed by VHP professionals, as well as a fixed percentage of proceeds backed by VHP owners, is to be co-chaired in perpetuity by sitting leaders of VHP’s investment and operating teams.

In alignment with its mission, the Foundation has already begun to support charitable organizations nationally, including: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA), Cradles to Crayons (Chicago, IL), Greater Chicago Food Depository (Chicago, IL), Inspirica (Stamford, CT) and Roaring Fork Conservancy (Basalt, CO).
