9 Hicks Thomas Partners Earn 2024 Texas Super Lawyers Honors

Legal guide spotlights only 5% of attorneys in Texas

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hicks Thomas LLP is pleased to announce that nine firm partners have earned recognition in the 2024 edition of Texas Super Lawyers, a highly respected legal listing that honors only 5% of attorneys in the state.

This year’s honorees include partners John B. Thomas, Stephen Barrick, John Deis, Courtney Ervin, Robin Harrison, Stewart Hoffer, Stephen Loftin, Paul Mitchell and Allen Rustay. All were recognized for excellence in business litigation.

This is the 22nd consecutive year Mr. Thomas and Mr. Hoffer have been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list. It is also the seventh year in a row Mr. Harrison has earned a Super Lawyers “Top 100 Houston” designation, which positions him as one of the best business litigators in the city.

“We are extremely proud of this incredible group of litigators,” said Mr. Thomas. “We love the work we’re able to do for our clients, and while we do not do it for the accolades, it is always nice to be recognized, especially by our peers.”

Super Lawyers selects honorees using a multiphase selection process that includes peer nominations and evaluations combined with independent research. Candidates are evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.

The Super Lawyers honors are among several accolades that firm attorneys have earned recently. Earlier this month, 11 partners were named to the 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America guide. In August, 12 partners were recognized by The Best Lawyers in America and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.
