Tech Tackles Cancer Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Annual Charity Concert Set for Thursday, November 7, 2024 at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hack/Reduce, a Boston-based non-profit organization focused on creating talent and technology for the global data-driven economy, today announced the details of the Tech Tackles Cancer (TTC) Boston 10th anniversary charity concert event. The event will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA, from 6 to 10 p.m. ET.

The event takes the format of a “Karaoke Showdown,” where technology executives raise money to perform live on stage, with a professional rock band. Contestants compete to raise the most money and put on the best performance. Awards are given for best vocals and stage presence, and the live audience votes on-site for their favorite performances.

The goal for the 10th anniversary celebration is to raise over $500,000 for the St. Baldrick’s and One Mission organizations, which are dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer research, treatment, and patient care. Since 2012, TTC has harnessed the power of the Boston technology community to increase awareness and raise millions of dollars in support of pediatric cancer causes.

“For the past ten years, I’ve had the opportunity to team with a terrific group of people across the technology industry to raise money and awareness for a great cause,” said Chris Lynch, founder of TTC, Executive Chairman and CEO, AtScale, and Chairman, Snowplow. “As this is the anniversary celebration, I’m expecting this year’s event to be bigger and better than ever before. We’ve set a large goal for ourselves, but I know that if there’s any group that can reach it, it’s the New England-area technology community.”

TTC is now recruiting singers for this year’s event. There are already six singers/competitors signed up and ready to sing their best on Nov. 7th to support pediatric cancer causes - but there is room for more! If you’re interested in participating, Contact Nicole at Nicole@HackReduce.org for more information on how to get involved.

TTC is led by an executive leadership team who generously give their time and energy to make the event a success. The team includes:

Tickets go on sale in October, and the full performer lineup will be announced then. Sponsorships are also available for a wide range of admission and marketing benefits at the event. Please visit techtacklesx.org for more information on sponsorships and donations.
