New Automated Adherence Pouch Packaging System Helps Adherence-Based Pharmacies Address Tight Margins

TruPak helps pharmacies decrease cost-to-fill (the total cost related to dispensing a single prescription) by drastically reducing the time and labor needed to fill and verify pouch package prescriptions. The system uses RFID canisters to reduce exception trays and hot swap technology to allow for replenishment and canister changes without stopping production, which means more uptime. Real time label printing tied to NDC changes also helps to eliminate mislabeled pouches, avoid timely rework, and facilitate lowest cost medication sourcing.
