Neovera Appoints Andy Woods as Chief Operating Officer

Former ECS, BAE Systems and NCIS Executive Brings Proven Track Record of Developing Worldwide Security Programs in Tough Regulatory Environments

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Neovera, the trusted advisor that provides full cybersecurity and cloud services to enterprises, today announced the appointment of Andy Woods as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Woods will implement operational best practices at Neovera, helping the company scale and strengthen its leadership in cybersecurity. He will oversee business operations, integrations, partnerships, and the channel, helping to drive growth while maintaining operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction.

With over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, Woods has designed, built, and defended critical IT infrastructure for both commercial and federal industries. Woods joins Neovera’s leadership team from ECS as the Vice President of Enterprise Managed Services, where he built the enterprise managed security service business and created sustainable cyber, cloud, IT, and technology programs for Fortune 500 and midmarket customers. Under his leadership, the company achieved double-digit year-over-year revenue growth while maintaining a 95% customer retention rate and received industry recognition as the #3 ranked MSSP. Prior to ECS, Woods was the director of commercial cybersecurity at BAE Systems. He began his career with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) as a computer scientist and ultimately earned the role of Chief Technology Officer of the Cyber Operations Field Office, where he led the development of technology and cybersecurity solutions in cyber counterintelligence missions.

"Neovera’s holistic approach to managed security has helped us to attract the best talent in the industry,” said Scott Weinberg, CEO, Neovera. “Andy has demonstrated an extraordinary ability to develop worldwide security programs in tough regulatory environments. His decades of knowledge and deep technical background uniquely positions him to understand and address the complex cybersecurity needs of our customers while driving Neovera’s continued growth.”

The news comes on the heels of Neovera’s acquisitions of Emagined Security, 10-D Security, and AppliedCS. Woods joins a management team with decades of hands-on experience in engineering and implementing IT infrastructure and developing comprehensive cybersecurity programs for the most targeted and regulated organizations in the world.

“What attracted me to Neovera is their steadfast approach to delivering high-touch, high-quality outcomes that address the complex cybersecurity needs of modern regulated enterprises,” said Andy Woods, COO, Neovera. “Unlike many of today’s commodity-based managed security services, which are largely standardized and interchangeable so that price is a primary competitive factor, Neovera offers a customized, next-generation approach to managed security services. I am excited to join the Neovera leadership team and help scale the company.”
