Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs Announce Availability of Appointments for Updated COVID-19 Vaccine

Customers can now schedule appointments at Riteaid.com and Bartelldrugs.com

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Following FDA authorization and CDC recommendation, Rite Aid (OTC: RADCQ) today announced that scheduling is now available for eligible customers seeking the updated COVID-19 (2024-2025) vaccines at its locations and at Bartell Drugs locations in the Pacific Northwest. Appointments are available immediately.

“At Rite Aid, we know our trusted pharmacy teams will be relied upon this respiratory season to help prevent the spread of viruses, including COVID-19,” said Chief Pharmacy Officer Karen Staniforth. “It’s important to us to provide convenient access to vaccinations and do our part in safeguarding the health and well-being of our communities. We encourage customers to do their part by getting vaccinated at their earliest convenience.”

This year’s COVID-19 (2024-2025) vaccine can restore and provide enhanced protection against currently circulating variants of COVID-19. The vaccine is recommended for individuals six months and older. According to the CDC, an updated COVID-19 (2024-2025) vaccine is recommended to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 this fall and winter whether or not you have ever previously been vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine. Rite Aid pharmacists are trained to immunize customers ages three and older.

Eligible Rite Aid customers may schedule an appointment at www.riteaid.com/schedule. Bartell Drugs customers can use the online scheduling tool linked here. Walk-ins are also available but may require a brief wait time based on demand. Other immunizations, including the flu vaccine, can also be scheduled via the online scheduling tools. Both the COVID-19 and flu vaccinations can be administered during the same appointment. State, age and health restrictions may apply, so ask your Rite Aid pharmacist for details.
