New learning paths empower users to improve PitchBook platform proficiency and advance professional development

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PitchBook, the premier data provider for the private and public equity markets today launched PitchBook Pioneer, an on-demand training and certification program designed to help PitchBook clients deepen their understanding of the PitchBook platform to enhance workflows and generate insights faster. As part of the program, PitchBook has also created a course called PitchBook College Ambassador Foundations Certification, intended for college students to increase their understanding of private capital market activity and learn the fundamental workflows of venture capital and private equity professionals. PitchBook Pioneer features a catalog of e-learning courses and live training workshops on gathering market intelligence, sourcing and executing deals, and a thorough overview of PitchBook’s platform capabilities. Upon completion of each program, users will earn a certificate that can be displayed on LinkedIn and resumes.

In today’s rapidly evolving financial ecosystem, industry professionals must stay up to date on the latest transactions and market activity to inform strategies and mitigate risk. This requires proficiency in the tools used to track and analyze market trends. PitchBook Pioneer offers courses on the most common platform use cases for venture capital, private equity and general PitchBook use cases, in addition to courses available to university students. Additional learning paths will be released throughout 2024. In the form of live courses or self-paced recordings, these courses review the following workflows:

  • Uncovering trends and emerging spaces
  • Leveraging Screeners to analyze macro-level fund performance and exit trends
  • Using Screeners to create an effective target list
  • Finding companies in target sectors that are primed for funding or acquisition
  • Identifying new investment strategies
  • Analyzing comps using pivot tables
