Trilliant Health Releases Free Provider Directory Application with Insights for More Than 2.9M Providers

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Trilliant Health, the healthcare industry’s leading analytics firm, today released a free version of its Provider Directory application. The easy-to-use application creates a single source of truth for accurate and timely information about millions of healthcare providers and is available to the public at no cost.

Accurate provider directory information is foundational to patient access, care coordination, comparing health plan networks, information exchange and price transparency. However, the challenges with existing datasets are well-documented. According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), provider directories "often contain inaccurate information, rarely support interoperable data exchange or public health reporting, and are costly to the health care industry." A recent report finds that the NPPES National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry matched only 28% of provider names, addresses and specialties when compared to health plan directories.
