New Leadership Roles Support Integration With Business Processes

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--To better support the build out and adoption of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Large Language Models, TransRe has restructured its data science team:

Otakar Hubschmann is promoted to the newly created position of Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, to lead TransRe’s Artificial Intelligence Team (TRAIT)

Socrates Pichardo, TransRe’s Chief Technology Officer, joins TRAIT

Otakar joined TransRe in 2016 from a quantitative trading background, to establish a data science group. Since then, the data science team has worked on a number of projects to automate data extraction and ingestion from submissions and contracts, and to enable the rapid comparison of documentation.

Socrates first joined TransRe in 1993 and has led a number of major IT projects, including TransRe’s property underwriting platform and business cloud migration. Socrates was appointed group CTO in 2017.

TRAIT will focus on integrating the rapidly developing capabilities of AI with TransRe’s existing expertise, and aim to deliver additional insights for colleagues and clients. To help embed the capabilities within the operating units, TRAIT will report to TransRe’s Chief Operating Officer, Matt Mahoney.
