U-Haul Opens New Akron Repair Shop to Service Regional Equipment

AKRON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--U-Haul® is operating at 1520 V. Odom Blvd., where its new Akron Repair Shop is now servicing regional moving and storage equipment.

The 55,000-square-foot facility replaces the Company’s former repair shop at 1570 V. Odom Blvd., a space that is being repurposed to serve the needs of its U-Haul Moving & Storage of Akron store.

“After 43 years, we outgrew the original repair shop,” said Alissa Nider, U-Haul Company of Akron president. “The new location will allow us to inspect and service more equipment to support our growing business in Ohio.”

The Akron Repair Shop will employ mechanics, engineers and technicians to maintain U-Haul equipment.

Nider plans to hire several Team Members to staff the new shop. U-Haul will look to hire locally to promote job growth in the Akron community. U-Haul, honored as a Best for Vets employer by The Military Times, actively recruits veterans and gives them preference in the hiring process. Find U-Haul careers at uhauljobs.com.
