Syniverse Sharpens Its Focus on the Global Public Sector with Acceptance on the GSA Schedule

Company developing digital modernization and mobility solutions for government organizations under leadership of David Cerjan

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Syniverse, the world's most connected company®, has gained acceptance on the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule in multiple categories, demonstrating its commitment to aligning its suite of secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions with the unique needs of U.S. government agencies.

This acceptance exemplifies the significant strides Syniverse has made in positioning itself as a vital player in the public sector under the leadership of David Cerjan, who was appointed as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Global Public Sector last year. Cerjan has driven the development of digital modernization and mobility solutions for government organizations worldwide by gaining placement in various government procurement vehicles.

"Our goal is to be a force multiplier for our partners in the global public sector by adding communication technology platforms and capabilities that will help them support the people they serve around the United States and globally," Cerjan said. "This is a transformational time in the global marketplace, and governments and affiliated entities cannot afford to be left behind. Syniverse can help them take the necessary leaps forward with distinct advances in connectivity that are better, smarter, and more reliable for everyone."

Cerjan has aligned Syniverse's approach to domestic and international clients across the defense, national security, and federal civilian spaces while focusing on expanding the availability of products tailored to the convergence of 4G and 5G mobile networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), private networks, and secure messaging.

He has also further strengthened Syniverse's value to local communities by continuing to provide dedicated, innovative, and secure solutions for first responders and other trained emergency personnel who aid following an incident.

"The unique regulations, compliance requirements, and budget constraints of the public sector require experience in navigating this market," said Harry Patz, Jr., Chief Revenue Officer of Syniverse. "David's intimate familiarity with those processes allows us to leverage our proven commercial telecommunications solutions for partners across the public sector while we develop others that overcome the connectivity and security challenges presented by a rapidly transforming digital world."

Cerjan has more than 25 years of experience in the public sector, including with the Department of Defense (DOD), federal agencies, and national security and enterprise organizations. Previously, he was the Managing Director for Verizon's National Security Group and was responsible for its support for U.S. national security entities and intelligence community (IC) business.

He joined the U.S. Army after graduating from Washington State University. His military assignments included working in human intelligence and special operations across a variety of organizations, and working with U.S., allied, and coalition forces.
