I Squared Continues Expansion of Global Relationship Management and Distribution Function; Hires Jan Mende to Cover Key Accounts on the U.S. West Coast

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--I Squared, a leading independent global infrastructure investment manager announced today that Jan Mende will be joining the firm’s investor relations department as a Managing Director with responsibility for covering key investment partners on the West Coast of the United States. She starts her new role the week of August 19^th.

Today’s announcement marks another round of investment by I Squared’s leadership in its global relationship management and distribution team. In the last twelve months, I Squared has expanded and evolved at the fastest rate in the firm's history, nowhere more so than in the sales and distribution function. The team has seen a significant remodeling with over 15 new employees hired globally to ensure the distribution capabilities of I Squared match the expanded product suite and long-term ambitions of the firm.

Jan joins I Squared from Callan, one of the largest independently owned investment consulting firms in the US, where she was a senior vice president working with institutional investors across their real assets portfolios. She also had research coverage responsibility for global private infrastructure strategies as well as real assets secondaries, Asian real estate and timber products.

Biography – Jan Mende, MBA

Jan has over 15 years of experience in the private equity industry with a specialization in infrastructure and real estate. Jan received her undergraduate degree from The College of William & Mary. She earned an MBA from The Wharton School and an MA in international studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Jan will be joining I Squared from Callan’s real assets consulting group where she was responsible for strategic planning, implementation and performance oversight of her clients’ real assets portfolios including evaluating their managers and respective real asset products. Before Callan, Jan was the head of client relations at Capital Dynamics, a global private assets manager. She also held investment management roles at Capital Dynamics with stints in London, San Francisco, Switzerland and New York.
