17-Yr Storage Veteran to Head Company’s Day-to-Day Operations

WINTER GARDEN, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Store Space Self Storage, a top 25 self-storage owner, operator and developer, announced today that David W. Collins has been promoted to President and Chief Operations Officer with immediate effect. In his new role, Mr. Collins will oversee the company’s daily operations, as well as the implementation of the company’s strategic vision to grow its footprint and increase value for investors.

“David has already proven his expertise and value as Chief Marketing Officer during the challenges the industry has faced in the post-pandemic landscape. Mr. Collins joined the company as CMO in April of 2023. Since joining the company, Mr. Collins has overseen or materially influenced the launch of the company’s new website, property management system, and Speed-e-Rent, the platform’s e-sign technology, all of which have contributed to significant gains in operational efficiency and streamlined the customer experience.

Mr. Collins had formerly been with Public Storage since 2007; from Director of Interactive Marketing to his last role as Vice President, Head of Marketing. His initiatives included the creation and deployment of their mobile website, eRental platform and mobile app, among others.
