Journalist, Bestselling Author Nicole Perlroth to Deliver Keynote at CMMC CON 2024

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As threats to America’s critical infrastructure escalate, contractors in the defense industrial base (DIB) find themselves in a vulnerable position and looking for answers on how to protect sensitive data.

CyberSheath, the largest CMMC managed service vendor in the DIB, will host a free, virtual, one-day conference, CMMC CON 2024: Behind the Screen, to equip them with the insights they need on Sept. 25, 2024. Nicole Perlroth, esteemed cybersecurity journalist, author, and member of the CISA Cybersecurity Advisory Committee (CSAC), will deliver the keynote address. Her expertise in global cyberwarfare and digital espionage will guide attendees through the current landscape of cybersecurity threats and defense strategies.

“Nicole’s intrepid work covering cybersecurity and advocating for improvements in protecting America’s critical infrastructure have established her as an authority in our field,” said Eric Noonan, CEO of CyberSheath. “She has her finger firmly on the pulse of cyber threats and is an excellent source of information for our attendees, providing the critical insights they need to understand what cybersecurity means for them.”

Perlroth’s investigative reporting has shed light on global cyber weapons markets and how vulnerabilities are exploited by adversaries to undermine national security. Her New York Times bestselling book, “This Is How They Tell Me the World Ends,” has brought critical attention to the cyber arms race, making her a leading voice in the field of cybersecurity.

After her decade-long stint with the New York Times, she joined CISA as an advisor, Ballistic Ventures as a cyber storyteller, and Silver Buckshot Ventures as a managing partner. She is also a guest lecturer at several colleges and universities and has delivered keynotes and speeches at nearly two dozen conferences.

CMMC CON 2024 will also feature sessions from top experts in the field, including updates on compliance mechanisms and strategies to combat evolving cyber threats. Attendees will gain invaluable insights into achieving CMMC compliance and enhancing their organizations’ cybersecurity posture.

Registration for CMMC CON 2024 is now open, and attendees can look forward to a comprehensive agenda that aims to equip them with the tools needed to protect their sensitive data and critical systems.
