Enterprise AI Platform Writer Announces New C-Suite Executives to Support Accelerating Growth Trajectory

CRO Andy Shorkey, CMO Diego Lomanto, and CFO Roger Kopfmann join to fuel Writer’s next phase of expansion, bringing unmatched expertise in scaling enterprise SaaS go-to-market and operations

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Writer, the full-stack generative AI platform delivering transformative ROI for the world’s leading enterprises, today announced the appointment of three additional C-suite officers to help drive the company’s next phase of growth and market leadership. These strategic hires come at a time of rapid expansion for Writer, which has grown its customer base to over 250 enterprise organizations, including Vanguard, Intuit, L’Oreal, and Accenture, and tripled revenue year over year.

The new executives bring deep experience scaling enterprise SaaS companies through hypergrowth and will play a critical role in shaping the company’s strategy and operations:

  • Roger Kopfmann joins as Writer’s first Chief Financial Officer, bringing a new level of operational rigor to Writer as it scales to support its global customer base. Roger previously supported Coupa’s growth and evolution during his near 13-year tenure at the company, most recently as its Executive Vice President of Operations. He brings a powerful combination of deep technical knowledge and financial acumen, and will play a pivotal role in guiding Writer’s financial and business strategy.
  • Andy Shorkey joins as Writer’s first Chief Revenue Officer, leading its global sales organization. He brings an exceptional track record scaling high-performing sales teams in fast-growth environments and driving revenue growth in competitive markets. Previously, Andy held Senior Vice President roles at OneTrust and Mulesoft, where he played a pivotal role expanding revenue from $50M to over $1.5B through IPO to Salesforce acquisition and evangelized a new category to enable IT to unlock organizational value.
  • Diego Lomanto joins Writer as its first Chief Marketing Officer and will spearhead its global go-to-market and brand strategy. Diego built the AI automation category as Vice President of Product Marketing at UIPath, where he defined the narrative for a new technology platform that became ubiquitous across the enterprise. He brings over two decades of experience driving growth and innovation in global enterprise software, most recently as CMO at Ada.

"After years of state-of-the-art product innovation, we’re proud to offer an end-to-end enterprise AI solution that’s being embraced by the world’s top companies,” said Writer CEO & Co-founder May Habib. “Andy, Diego, and Roger have scaled some of the most important enterprise SaaS companies of the past decade. More importantly, they each have a genuine passion for AI and Writer’s vision to transform work. With the incredible momentum we’re seeing in our business, it was a natural next step to bring in some of the brightest players to scale our go-to-market and build world-class business operations.”

Since its launch in 2020, Writer has achieved an unmatched track record of delivering tangible ROI for enterprise organizations through its full-stack AI platform. Writer has saved its customers millions of hours in productivity, delivers an average 7x return on investment, and has seen net revenue retention grow 179% year over year.

The new appointments come on the heels of the recent release of Writer AI Studio, a groundbreaking suite of development tools for both technical and non-technical users to rapidly build and deploy custom generative AI applications.

Palmyra – Writer’s family of LLMs - is consistently benchmarked by Stanford’s Holistic Evaluation of Language Models (HELM) as a top model for accuracy and performance, and Writer's graph-based RAG achieves an impressive 86.31% accuracy on the RobustQA benchmark, significantly outperforming competitors. These scores highlight Writer’s power and ability to tackle a wide range of enterprise use cases.

At a time when trust in AI companies has declined to 35%, major brands are choosing Writer’s platform for its accuracy, security, and efficiency. Writer is committed to zero data retention, never trains on customer data, and never distills or quantizes its models.
