L.A. Times Names AHF’s Lyle Honig Mojica Best CFO

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Los Angeles Times named AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s Lyle Honig Mojica Best CFO in a ceremony last week in Los Angeles.

Under its Business2Business Publishing division, the Times posted on Instagram, “Congratulations to Lyle Honig Mojica of @aidshealthcare on being recognized as an honoree in the Education/Non-Profit category at the CFO Forum & Leadership Awards. Excellent work!”

The award was one of six Best CFO awards bestowed by the Times in as many categories.

"A well-deserved recognition by the Los Angeles Times for Lyle Honig Mojica, who manages and oversees our financial operations in 47 countries where we now provide lifesaving HIV care and treatment to more than two million people worldwide,” said Michael Weinstein, AHF President. “Congratulations, Lyle, from all your AHF colleagues near and far.”

Honig Mojica currently oversees 10 vice presidents and directors who serve AHF’s day-to-day operations which include revenue cycle, procurement, compliance, analysis, accounts payable, payroll, and accounting. AHF has seen an enhanced revenue stream year over year due to the finance department’s analyses and hard work, and this allows AHF providers to deliver care with little to no out-of-pocket cost for the clients it serves.

Working directly with AHF housing executives, Lyle has helped AHF’s Healthy Housing Foundation acquire and remodel properties using his financial acumen. Honig Mojica is passionate about the housing crisis and works tirelessly to help the homeless and those who are often forgotten by society.

Honig Mojica has more than 25 years of combined work experience at AHF, having left briefly to work in the private sector and obtain his CPA. From 1998-2002, he was a senior business consultant at Arthur Anderson in Los Angeles where he worked with major clients like Hyperion Solutions, Montgomery Watson Harza, and the Los Angeles Unified School District.

A native of Kansas, Honig Mojica attended Kansas State University before heading west to California.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global HIV and AIDS organization, provides medical care and/or services to more that 2.0 million individuals in 47 countries worldwide in the US, Africa, Latin America/Caribbean, the Asia/Pacific Region, and Eastern Europe.
