Carvana Launches Same Day Delivery in Newark Area

Online Auto Retailer’s Same Day Delivery Radius Now Encompasses Approximately 25% of the US Population

NEWARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Carvana (NYSE: CVNA), an industry pioneer for buying and selling used cars online, today announced its expansion of same day vehicle delivery to select residents of greater Newark, New Jersey. Now Newark area customers can take delivery of a vehicle as soon as the same day they place an order on Carvana.com, and select customers interested in selling their current vehicle to Carvana can also benefit from same day drop-off. With this launch, approximately 25% of the US Population lives within Carvana’s same day delivery radius.

"I was having issues with my vehicle and needed a replacement to get to work. As I was browsing, I noticed Carvana's same-day delivery option, so I decided to give it a try," shared Carvana customer, Sergio G. “It was pretty convenient having the car dropped off at home and honestly cool to see the hauler drive up. My car even arrived two hours earlier than expected, and the paperwork was fast and easy.”

Carvana’s seamless online platform allows customers to browse through one of the largest online selections of high-quality pre-owned vehicles, purchase the vehicle that fits their lifestyle, and in select cases, have it delivered to their doorstep in less than 24 hours. This new offering not only speeds up vehicle delivery for local customers but also offers them access to some of New Jersey buyers’ most sought-after vehicles, such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chevrolet Equinox, Jeep Compass, and the Tesla Model 3.1

"At Carvana, it’s not just about offering more choices but making those choices more accessible and convenient,” says Jacqueline Hearns, Carvana's Senior Director of Market Operations and Expansion. “Our expansion of same day delivery to Newark area residents is a testament to our commitment to continually raising the bar for our customers."

This offering is made possible with the support of Carvana’s first party logistics network and its vast infrastructure, including Carvana inspection and reconditioning centers and ADESA Auction sites. Carvana initially launched same day delivery in Arizona, and continues to expand to more locations across its nationwide footprint.
