Michael Sampson Books Imprint Publishes Its First Board Book, Illustrated by #1 New York Times Bestselling Illustrator, Miguel Ordóñez

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Michael Sampson Books imprint publishes its second title this week: Did You Hear That? (Michael Sampson Books; On sale: June 11, 2024) by Antonio Vicente; illustrated by Miguel Ordóñez, #1 New York Times bestselling illustrator of Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA. This newly released board book tells the story of a day through its sounds, proposing fun reader-child interaction through onomatopoeia and reviewing the routines of the day while focusing on important emotional aspects for children ages 0–3. Did You Hear That? was translated from Spanish into English by Geoffrey Goff.

Antonio Vicente is a Spanish journalist, scriptwriter, and sociologist. He has worked in newspapers, radio and television. He co-presents a morning program called Hoy Empieza Todo on Spain’s national Radio 3, and he is a scriptwriter for the popular satirical show Cachitos de Hierro y Cromo. He has written ten children's books and participated in numerous literary educational projects. He tries out all his story ideas first on his daughter, but he says the majority do not pass the test.

Miguel Ordóñez is a Spanish New York Times Best Sellers List illustrator. He has worked for a wide and impressive range of international clients in the publishing, advertising and newspaper industries. Two of his books published by Macmillan are New York Times Best Sellers and his illustrations for Jimmy Fallon's Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA have been honored by the American Society of Illustrators. He lives in Madrid with his wife and two daughters and works with both graphic design and illustration, as well as teaching visual communication and creativity.
