CoastEdge Partners Reunites with Nancy Vo Hamada as New Partner and COO

LA JOLLA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CoastEdge Partners, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor headquartered in San Diego, CA, is delighted to announce the hiring of Nancy Vo Hamada as Partner and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Vo Hamada’s arrival at CoastEdge signifies a special reunion, as managing partner Steve Simpson previously collaborated with Vo Hamada for over a decade at Gurtin Municipal Bond Management, a firm that Simpson co-founded. As the former Head of Operations at Gurtin, Vo Hamada guided the firm’s growth from $5 billion to nearly $14 billion in assets under management, culminating in the acquisition by PIMCO, the world’s largest fixed income manager.

Immediately prior to joining CoastEdge Partners, Vo Hamada served as a Senior Client Engagement & Success Manager at Addepar, where she played a pivotal role in establishing best practices and initiatives for the client success team. CoastEdge Partners was a very early adopter of Addepar technology given their deep expertise in the management of institutional alternative investments for clients alongside the firm’s managing partners. Today, CoastEdge’s alternative investment platform is offered to the firm’s ultra-high net worth clients as well as other independent registered investment advisory firms across the nation who seek expertise in institutional alternative investing for their clients.

Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from University of California, San Diego and received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where she focused on Management & Strategy as well as Management & Organizations.
