Elasticsearch Open Inference API Now Supports Microsoft Azure AI Studio

Developers can now natively use the Elasticsearch vector database to store and utilize embeddings from models hosted on Azure AI Studio

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Elastic (NYSE: ESTC) today announced the Elasticsearch open inference API supports integration with the model catalog hosted in Microsoft Azure AI Studio. This includes native support for the Elasticsearch vector database to store and utilize embeddings from a wide selection of models, including those developed by Open AI and Mistral.

“Developers want choice and flexibility when it comes to the tools, solutions, and models they leverage, and this deeper integration provides exactly that to those in the Azure ecosystem,” said Shay Banon, co-founder and chief technology officer at Elastic. “With native access to Azure OpenAI Service and a broad catalog of models in the Azure AI Studio, developers can use the vast capabilities of Elasticsearch, the world’s most downloaded vector database, to completely transform their conversational search experience.”

Support for Azure AI Studio is available today, read the Elastic blog to get started.
