Ardent Health Appoints Ambulatory Services and Compliance Leaders

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ardent Health today announced the appointments of Ethan Chernin as president of its health services unit and Jason Ehrlinspiel as chief compliance officer.

“We’re pleased to welcome Ethan and Jason to the Ardent leadership team,” said Marty Bonick, president and CEO of Ardent. “As we continue to evolve our operations with a focus around consumer-centered care, we look forward to leveraging their deep industry experience to make healthcare easier to access and deliver while navigating a complex regulatory environment.”

As president of Ardent’s health services unit, Chernin will oversee Ardent’s physician practices and clinic operations, ambulatory strategy and development, and support its continued evolution toward value-based care through strategic growth efforts that address local healthcare needs. With 15 years of healthcare leadership experience, he most recently served as chief population health officer for Healthmap Solutions, a kidney population health management company serving health plans and provider groups. Chernin previously served as system vice president of population health for BayCare Health System, a 16-hospital health system in Central Florida, and chief operating officer of BayCare Physician Partners, and held senior leadership roles at Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and earned an MBA at Case Western Reserve University.

“Ardent’s mission to create a better, more accessible healthcare experience aligns precisely with my passion and experiences,” said Chernin. “I look forward to working with the team to build on their efforts to leverage consumer-friendly processes and technology to help patients access care when and where it’s most convenient.”

Ehrlinspiel joins Ardent as chief compliance officer. He will lead Ardent’s compliance program with responsibility for driving a culture of ethical business practices, regulatory compliance and integrity across the organization. Prior to Ardent, Ehrlinspiel served as senior litigation counsel for HCA Healthcare and previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney in multiple states. He is a graduate of the University of the South and earned his JD from the University of Mississippi.

“Ardent has built a strong track record of upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance and ethical practices, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and team members,” said Ehrlinspiel. “I’m excited to join a team that is committed to serving others with integrity and fostering a culture of accountability.”
