RWX Raises $7 Million in Seed Funding and Launches Mint, the Best Developer Experience in Continuous Integration

COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RWX, the company building the best developer experience in Continuous Integration, announced that it raised $7M in seed funding in a round led by Quiet Capital in 2022. The company also announced the launch of Mint, a paradigm-shifting Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) platform.

CI/CD platforms are responsible for all the automation that runs on every code change an engineer makes. It’s a critical component of the software development life cycle (SDLC), and its impact will be even more important as AI starts generating code.

Most CI/CD platforms were built in the early era of cloud computing and have not evolved to incorporate modern techniques and best practices, creating an opportunity to build a next generation platform.

In existing CI/CD platforms:

  • Engineers needlessly wait on tests to run that aren’t related to their code changes.
  • Engineers spend time sifting through raw logs to identify failures, even though they’re viewing results in their browser which can display more richly formatted results.
  • Engineers push their task definitions to version control platforms to run the automation, creating a very inefficient cycle for iteration.

Mint solves these problems and many more, providing the best developer experience in CI/CD.

“We’re thoroughly impressed with Mint’s innovative capabilities for CI/CD. We use a wide variety of technologies for building our data-intensive financial software platform, and we’ve been able to seamlessly leverage Mint across all our projects. Mint is a common engineering productivity platform across all our systems providing superior performance at a superior price point compared to GitHub Actions and other CI/CD platforms. Our engineering team is more productive with Mint’s fast builds, rich telemetry, and elegant developer experience. Additionally, with Mint being SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and providing hardened vault features, our CD pipelines have industry-leading security.” – Bill Kaper, co-founder and CTO, HubiFi

"At Visivo, we're thoughtfully designing the most dev friendly and secure analytics platform. After seeing Mint's refreshing approach to CI/CD, we immediately decided to migrate to it. Defining our workflows as a task-based graph was a huge improvement in composition, reuse, and performance compared to our previous scripts. Having content-based caching eliminates needless executions, and we now get faster and more actionable feedback on build failures." – Tim Overly, co-founder at Visivo
