Westinghouse Announces Executive Management Appointments

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Westinghouse today announced key changes to its leadership team. Effective immediately:

  • Ron Timperio is appointed Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Global Operations Services
  • Adam Silverstein is appointed Executive Vice President, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety

These announcements follow the departures of Pavan Pattada, Executive Vice President of Global Operations Services, who is pursuing opportunities outside of the company, and the retirement of Jill Redmon, Executive Vice President, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety.

Ron Timperio Appointed to Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Global Operations Services

Mr. Timperio will lead global engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and other technical capabilities that enable Westinghouse’s business units. Most recently Mr. Timperio served as the Chief Operating Officer at PDC Machines, which manufactures diaphragm compressors and commercial hydrogen fueling stations. He has 30 years of experience in manufacturing operations; supply chain management; environmental, health and safety; and quality control. Ron spent nearly two decades at General Electric in leadership roles within its aviation, transportation, industrial solutions and energy services – including nuclear energy – business lines.

Mr. Timperio holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University and an MBA from the University of La Verne.

Adam Silverstein appointed Executive Vice President, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety

Mr. Silverstein will lead Westinghouse’s nuclear safety, industrial safety and quality assurance programs. Prior to joining Westinghouse, Mr. Silverstein served as Vice President – Quality at CommScope, an international, wireless telecommunication infrastructure systems supplier, leading the quality function for the Outdoor Wireless Networks – Structures and Connectivity Sector. Previously, Mr. Silverstein led Quality and HS&E for Rolls-Royce’s Civil Large Engine Operations and, earlier in his tenure, led Facilities and Operations of its Civil Nuclear business. He began his career in the automotive industry working in engineering, design, procurement and program management across Delphi Chassis Systems (USA), GKN Driveline North America Inc., Tower Automotive Inc. and NSK Steering Systems America, Inc.

Mr. Silverstein earned an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Rochester and a master’s degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics from The Pennsylvania State University. He also earned an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
