OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best has placed under review with developing implications the Financial Strength Rating of B+ (Good) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “bbb-” (Good) of Pillar Life Insurance Company (Pillar) (Harrisburg, PA).

The Credit Ratings (ratings) of Pillar have been placed under review with developing implications following a change in its strategic vision. The new controlling owner is evaluating a different business plan. The new business plan will consider several options including a potential sale or merger. AM Best will continue to monitor the ratings as decisions regarding the future of Pillar are made.
