TransLogic, a Swisslog Healthcare Company, to Highlight Early Design Consultation Benefits at Exhibition

BROOMFIELD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TransLogic™, a Swisslog Healthcare company and a leading supplier in transport automation, will participate in The International Summit & Exhibition on Health Facility Planning, Design & Construction, also known as the PDC Summit, from March 17-20 in San Diego, California. TransLogic invites architecture professionals in healthcare planning, design, and construction to absorb the benefits of its Design Assist, a preconstruction consultative service offered by TransLogic where transport experts are brought in early in the design phases of a building project. Design Assist leads to maximized efficiency, ensures serviceability, and addresses potential future roadblocks. TransLogic will be located at booth #323 in the exhibitor’s hall at the San Diego Convention Center.

“At TransLogic, we understand the critical role that the experts play in the early design stages. Our Design Assist experts have the modeling tools, industry knowledge, and vision to create or enhance designs for a tube system that generally acts as the hospital’s transport backbone for decades,” said Cory Kwarta, President of TransLogic and CEO of Swisslog Healthcare. “When hospital design teams engage our Design Assist experts early in the process, they get way more than simply reviewing drafts because our consultative approach surrounds the customer’s big-picture and ensures the end result is a long-term solution built to last.”

Attendees will also get the chance to hear from one of the experts at TransLogic, Allan Turner, Vice President of Project Management. As a speaker at the PDC Summit, Turner will dive into the importance of early engagement with trade experts when planning the construction process during his session titled Preconstruction Planning: Leveraging the Experts. Attendees will learn more about how these services lead to cost savings, better designs, fewer unplanned change orders, and minimizing unnecessary postconstruction projects. Turner will present at the PDC Summit on March 18th from 12:20 pm - 12:40 pm in the Exhibit Hall at the Discovery Stage.

“While the smoothest building projects begin with the guidance of forward-thinking owners and a great architect, even the most experienced people can’t be expected to know every intricacy of a facility. In the case of high-tech pneumatic tube systems, Design Assist goes a long way to present a tidy project to the hospital C-suite,” said Allan Turner, Vice President of Project Management at TransLogic. “In my session, I will dive into the reasons why engaging the experts early in the construction planning process maximizes performance, efficiency, and reliability, with both near- and long-term financial savings.”
