Estrella Media to Present the Iconic Paquita la del Barrio at Its Los Angeles and Houston Cinco de Mayo Concert Events

La Raza (98.5/101.7 FM) and El Norte (107.9 FM) in Houston to Present Free Community Event at Escapade 2001 on Sunday, May 19, 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Estrella Media, the transformative Spanish‑language media company serving the valuable multi-platform Latino audience in the U.S., announced that the iconic Paquita la del Barrio will headline its annual Cinco de Mayo events in Los Angeles and Houston. Que Buena Los Angeles (105.5/94.3/96.1 FM) will present its annual Cinco de Mayo event at Plaza México in Lynwood, CA on Sunday, May 5 from noon to 8 p.m., and La Raza (98.5/101.7 FM) and El Norte (107.9 FM) radio stations in Houston will present their event at Escapade 2001 on Sunday May 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.

The Los Angeles concert will be hosted by Don Cheto and the Que Buena Los Angeles DJ’s, including the rest of the team from the nationally syndicated morning show, Don Cheto Al Aire (airing 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.), Gisselle Bravo, Said Garcia Solis, and El Chino, as well as Rocio Sandoval “La Peligrosa” (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Marlene Quinto (3 p.m. to 7 p.m.) and Sarita (7 p.m. to 12 a.m.).

The Houston concert will be hosted by La Raza’s La Chiquilla (5 a.m. to 9 a.m.), DJ Christy and DJ El Toro (3 p.m. to 7 p.m.), and DJ Ramon (7 p.m. to 11 p.m.); and El Norte’s Gerado Aparicio (7 a.m. to 10 a.m.), Nely Islas (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), and Vidal Luna (3 p.m. to 7 p.m.).

Additional artist announcements will be released over the coming weeks. Almost 50,000 people attended the 2023 events in Los Angeles and Houston.
