TÜV SÜD Further Expands Expertise in Climate Protection and Sustainability

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TÜV SÜD announces the acquisition of US-based Forest Resource Solutions and Technologies, further expanding its expertise in the validation and verification of climate protection projects. Following a buy and build strategy, TÜV SÜD America had already acquired Ruby Canyon Environmental, a global leader in the field of GHG project and reporting assurance in 2022.

Forest Resource Solutions and Technologies (FRST Corp) is an industry leader and provides both traditional forestry services related to timberland management and wildfire mitigation as well as the validation and verification of forest carbon offset projects. In 2018, Andrea and Christian Eggleton founded the company with a passion for making a positive impact on forest health and our environment.

Ruby Canyon Environmental (RCE) and FRST have worked closely together since 2018 and the acquisition will further expand their capabilities to support clients. RCE has built a dedicated team of experts with extensive knowledge and experience in GHG reporting, methodologies, and programs around the world. The inclusion of Andrea, Christian, and the rest of the FRST team will continue to build upon RCE’s and TÜV SÜD’s legacy of providing high-quality services with excellence.

QUOTES:

"We support our customers in achieving their sustainability goals, reducing their CO2 emissions and offsetting unavoidable emissions. With the acquisitions of RCE in 2022 and of FRST now, we have been able to add valuable expertise and to expand our services, especially in the area of offset projects," said Dr. Fabian Schober; CEO of TÜV SÜD America.

"Over the last few years we have seen explosive growth in the forestry sector related to climate mitigation projects as well as wildfire mitigation. Having FRST join our team will increase our ability to support the market growth for the benefit of our clients. It has been a great pleasure working so closely with Andrea and Christian these past six years and I’m thrilled to welcome them to the TÜV SÜD and RCE family," said Zach Eyler, Vice President TÜV SÜD Americas – Ruby Canyon.

"The potential for managed forests to mitigate climate change and provide sustainable alternatives to energy and carbon-intensive construction and consumer products is being recognized today more than ever. It is an exciting time to join RCE and TÜV SÜD America to expand our positive impact toward climate change mitigation and increase our capacity to meet the growing needs for professional forestry expertise in today’s markets," says Andrea Eggleton, President and Co-founder of FRST.
