Important Announcement Regarding University of Toronto Labour Negotiations

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Unions representing 8,000 workers at the University of Toronto will be making an important announcement Thursday about negotiations with the university and possible effects on the academic year.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Locals 3902 and 3261 will be involved in the announcement. CUPE 3902 represents academic workers who provide the majority of instruction and conduct research at the university, including teaching assistants and postdoctoral fellows. CUPE 3261 members include Building Patrol, Caretakers, Cooks, Servers and Cafeteria Workers, Laboratory Animal Technicians and Veterinary Technologists, Maintenance Workers and Technicians, Sport Facility Operators and Attendants.
