CARFAX Canada Launches New OEM Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Badge

LONDON, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CARFAX Canada, the country’s trusted source for vehicle history and valuation is excited to unveil a new OEM Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) badge on its Vehicle History Report. This innovative OEM CPO badge, a first for the industry in Canada, enables OEM partners to distinguish their CPO units from others in today’s competitive used vehicle market. Reports displaying the OEM CPO badge indicate that the vehicle has successfully met the strict maintenance and condition standards required as part of the manufacturer's CPO program.

"Seeing the OEM CPO badge on our Vehicle History Report helps buyers feel more confident when purchasing a used vehicle, knowing that the vehicle has passed extensive reconditioning and meets the OEM’s certified pre-owned requirements," explains Shawn Vording, Vice President, Product & Sales at CARFAX Canada. This new OEM CPO badging service "boosts consumer trust by providing additional assurance in both the vehicle's integrity and in the dealership they are buying from," Vording adds.

CARFAX Canada is proud to announce that Honda Financial Services is the first OEM to have a CPO badge on the CARFAX Canada Vehicle History Reports. “Honda Financial Services is excited to feature our Honda and Acura brands on the new OEM CPO badge,” says Patrick Huibers, Senior Manager, Customer Care Group at Honda Financial Services. The OEM CPO badge "supports our commitment to our CPO program by offering transparency, building trust with consumers, and strengthening our relationship with dealerships," Huibers continues.

“The new OEM CPO badge is important to CARFAX Canada as it demonstrates our commitment to providing the most comprehensive vehicle history information in Canada. This new feature on the Vehicle History Report also aligns with our mission of empowering Canadians with insights to help make better decisions about vehicles” states Richard Pasta, Director of Strategic Partners at CARFAX Canada.

The introduction of this new OEM CPO badge marks a crucial step towards ensuring a trustworthy and transparent used car buying process for consumers, dealers, and OEMs alike.
