Media Advisory: FHLB Dallas, Home Bank, Fifth District Savings Bank, Red River Bank and Trustmark Bank to Award Nearly $4M in Affordable Housing Funds to Gulf Coast Housing Partnership

NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas), Home Bank, Red River Bank, Trustmark Bank and Fifth District Savings Bank will present $3.98 million in Affordable Housing Program (AHP) funds to support Gulf Coast Housing Partnership with building seven Affordable Housing Program projects.

The funds are part of $28.4 million in AHP grants provided by FHLB Dallas through its member financial institutions in 2023. The funds will help create 2,677 new or rehabilitated housing units, including more than $6.5 million for 575 units in Louisiana. For more information about the AHP, visit fhlb.com/ahp.

The AHP funds will be used for seven projects:

  • The H3C Apartments Project, Fifth District Savings Bank ($850,000)
    A 92-unit senior (55+) multifamily housing development in New Orleans, Louisiana

  • Village at the Beverly III, Trustmark Bank ($450,000)
    A 30-unit multifamily housing development in Hattiesburg, Mississippi

  • Phoenix Square Two, Fifth District Savings Bank ($330,000)
    A 22-unit multifamily housing development in Hammond, Louisiana

  • Phoenix Square Three, Fifth District Savings Bank ($360,000)
    A 24-unit multifamily housing development in Hammond, Louisiana

  • Howell Village Grand Family, Red River Bank ($750,000)
    A 59-unit multifamily housing development in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

  • Howell Village Senior, Red River Bank ($850,000)
    A 72-unit multifamily housing development in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

  • Banneker Community, Home Bank ($435,000)
    A proposed development of 29 single-family homes in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana
