Church of the Highlands Hosts Bi-Annual 21 Days of Prayer Daily Services in January

Church of the Highlands celebrates season of prayer and fasting from January 7 - 27

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Every January, Church of the Highlands begins the year with a three-week season of prayer and fasting called 21 Days of Prayer where the church intentionally seeks God in prayer and believes for Him to move in powerful ways. Highlands also hosts a season of prayer in August every year for the same length of time. This year, 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting began on Sunday, January 7, and will conclude with a special finale prayer service at 9:00 AM on Saturday, January 27.

During 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, church members and attendees attend daily prayer services to draw near to God. 25 locations across the state of Alabama and into Georgia host daily prayer services on weekdays at 6:00 AM CST and on Saturdays at 9:00 AM CST in addition to their normal Sunday service times during this season. In addition to in-person gatherings, prayer services are also streamed online and available throughout the day on-demand.

As a resource, Highlands has created a Pray First app that allows users to access guided prayer plans, create a personal prayer list, and listen to exclusive worship music in the app. In-person at prayer services, there are also printed resources on prayer for attendees to use in their prayer time. Church of the Highlands believes prayer should be a first response, not a last resort, and that is why 21 Days of Prayer is always the way they start the new year.
