HealthPartners names new health plan senior vice president

BLOOMINGTON, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HealthPartners today announced that Mohammad (Moe) Suleiman has been named senior vice president of commercial business for its health plan. Suleiman begins this week and will be responsible for leading health plan growth strategies across all geographic markets, including Minnesota, northeastern Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota and Iowa. He will also lead the product and market innovation, sales and account management functions, with an emphasis on leveraging HealthPartners integrated care and plan capabilities.

“Moe is a strategic, mission-driven leader with extensive experience in health plan sales, business development and client relationship management,” said Jennifer Danielson, HealthPartners chief health plan officer. “We’re excited to have him join our team as we continue to grow and deliver coverage options that are simple and affordable for our members and employer partners.”

Suleiman has more than 25 years of health plan experience, most recently serving as a vice president at UnitedHealthcare, where he led the key accounts sales and account management team in northern California and the statewide CalPERS line of business. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
