Williams Hart & Boundas LLP: Survivors of Sexual Assault in Uber Case Continue Their Fight

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Williams Hart & Boundas LLP is proud to announce that firm partner Brian Abramson has been appointed to serve as a member of the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee in the In Re: Uber Technologies, Inc. Passenger Sexual Assault Litigation MDL pending in the Northern District of California under the Honorable Judge Charles R. Breyer. Mr. Abramson brings 18 years of experience in the legal field and specializes in complex mass tort litigation. Mr. Abramson is one of 11 lawyers who were selected to sit on the Steering Committee.

As part of the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee, Mr. Abramson will work with the committee to develop a discovery plan, a protective order, and a schedule. Overall, the Steering Committee will be responsible for organizing and strategizing for the plaintiffs in this nationwide litigation.

Our firm has been involved in the rideshare litigation since 2019, and has two members, Margret Lecocke and Walt Cubberly, on the In re: Lyft Rideshare Cases Plaintiffs’ Leadership Counsel. The Honorable Andrew Y.S. Cheng appointed Mr. Cubberly as co-lead and Ms. Lecocke as a member of the 9-person Leadership Counsel in May of 2021.
