Church of the Highlands to Host Annual Christmas Services with Candle Lighting at Locations Across Alabama and Georgia

Beginning on Monday, December 18, until Sunday, December 24, there will be 100+ opportunities to attend Christmas at Highlands.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This December, Church of the Highlands will host their annual Christmas at Highlands services including a powerful time of worship, meaningful message, and celebration honoring the birth of Jesus Christ. Highlands’ senior pastor, Pastor Chris Hodges, will share a message of hope for the holiday season along with special musical elements prepared just for these services. Every year, each service concludes with a special candle-lighting moment at every location that is a powerful and memorable staple of Christmas at Highlands.

Beginning on Monday, December 18, and running until Christmas Eve on Sunday, December 24, there will be service times available at 25 different locations, all with identical service experiences so each person and family can choose a service time and location that works best for them.

These services are family-friendly and elementary-aged children are encouraged to join their parents for a service full of fun and exciting elements, creative videos and songs, and other surprises! Christmas at Highlands services typically last around 70 minutes and communion is also available for anyone who would like to participate at each campus. Children aged 6 weeks old to kindergarten will have an age-appropriate Christmas experience prepared for them in their Highlands Kids space.

Since Christmas at Highlands is one of the most popular services that Highlands has each year, free reservations are available online to prepare for everyone who will attend. The reservation system allows the Highlands Team to prepare the best experience for all who will be attending but a reservation is not a requirement to attend. 15 minutes before each service begins, all remaining seats will become general admission for anyone to enter and experience Christmas at Highlands.
