Rite Aid Helps Customers Prioritize Immunity During Busy Holiday Season with Flu Shot Fridays

Customers and their families can receive routine vaccinations and immunizations every Friday in December at select Rite Aid locations

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--It’s the season to spread holiday cheer – not the flu. Throughout December, Rite Aid (OTC: RADCQ) will offer Flu Shot Fridays at select locations, providing a convenient opportunity for families to walk in or schedule appointments for the vaccinations they need to help protect themselves against the flu, COVID-19, RSV and other viruses.

Rite Aid’s upcoming Flu Shot Fridays allows families to conveniently receive routine vaccinations ahead of the holiday season. Customers receiving their flu shot will also receive coupons for $5 off a $25 in-store purchase* and a free cold drink.** Flu Shot Fridays will be held every Friday from Dec. 1-29, at select locations. Coupons are not valid in New York or New Jersey.

“Our customers are getting proactive about their health as colder weather arrives and families are gathering for the holidays,” said Karen Staniforth, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Rite Aid. “We’re proud to be a resource in the community to help our customers and their families achieve their whole health needs.”

Rite Aid pharmacists are trained to immunize adults and children three years of age and older. Immunizations for Flu Shot Fridays include routine vaccinations that provide critical protection against certain diseases, some of which are required for certain ages, activities or for overseas travel. These include shingles, tetanus, whooping cough, and HPV (human papilloma virus), among others, depending on age and state regulations, in addition to the available flu and COVID-19 (2023-2024) vaccines.

See the full list of participating stores here. Customers can also check with their local Rite Aid to see if it’s a participating location. Customers are encouraged to schedule an appointment for necessary vaccinations at their local Rite Aid through the online scheduling tool, or walk-in during regular store hours on Flu Shot Fridays.

To help customers determine which routine immunizations are right for them, Rite Aid offers an Immunization Evaluation Questionnaire on its website. The questionnaire guides customers to ensure they are up to date with all necessary immunizations based on their age, conditions or occupation.
