Adams Street Partners Names Michael Kurlander as Partner and Chief Financial Officer

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Adams Street Partners, LLC, a private markets investment firm with more than $58 billion in assets under management (“Adams Street”), today announced that Michael Kurlander has been named Partner and Chief Financial Officer. Effective January 3, 2024, Kurlander will sit on the firm’s Executive Committee and report to Jeff Diehl, Managing Partner and Head of Investments.

Mike brings 25 years of experience to the role. He spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs where he held various leadership positions in finance and operations. Mike started in the Controller group prior to transitioning to Corporate Treasury where he was Head of Funding and Liquidity Management for the firm. He helped Goldman Sachs navigate the liquidity and regulatory issues of the global financial crisis. Mike then served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Global Operations. His final role at Goldman was Chief Operating Officer for its US bank. Mike then spent four years at Citadel, one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated global hedge funds, where he became Deputy Global Treasurer, covering the hedge fund as well as Citadel Securities. Mike spent the last two years as Chief Financial Officer of Pagaya Technologies, a publicly traded fintech firm that helps consumers access credit and is the largest US issuer of securitizations backed by personal loans. Mike earned his BS from University of Maryland and his MBA from Columbia University. He has successfully completed CPA, Series 7 and 24 licenses.
